Heater fan upgrade

Has anyone upgraded the heater fan. Got caught in a big rain today and fogged the windows and I forgot the towel. The defrost/fan doesn't cut it. Something besides the adapter and the hair dryer. Maybe alittle more power. I know there might be some cutting involved. I'm will to sacrifice.

I may look into this possibility while rebuilding that old box you gave me, Jeff. I had planned to go to pull-a-part sometime either this weekend or next, so i'll see what I can dig out.

Weren't you telling me a couple of days ago you weren't going to mess with yours? I guess our rain here in Ga changed your mind a little...

If you dont want to shell out the $$$$$ for the OEM Fan, try a good marine parts place. They have 12V inline heater fans for boats (like large hairdriers) but fit 3-4" tube. I have been considering one for the rear window. Beaner7102
