#5 fuse keeps blowing as soon as the key gets to start positon. I can't find a short anywhere. This belongs to a friend and I'm tempted to short the crap out of it then look for the burn. Ever have one of those days? Sugestions please.

Electrical trouble-shooting is not my strong suit (but then I'm not sure what is on our cars) but you might want to pull the steering wheel (a fairly simple task) and check the wires @ the wiper switch and also take a look @ the wires @ the brake switch just aft of the brake booster. Maybe others will chime-in w/ some other helpful tips.

Good luck man. I wired me up an electrical fan from scratch and now SOME F***ING HOW my washer fluid turns on EVERY time the fan turns on... I'm talking wired with a relay - completely independantly. Like directly off the alternator and chasis, completely fused and isolated properly.... Sorry to vent but I feel your pain. Hope you find your short.

Didn't mean to hijack your thread but might anyone have any ideas as to why my washer fluid gives just the littlest squirt as the cooling fan turns on?

OK. Got pissed. Took a heavy ga. wire and touched each end of the fuse clip. Hey, something would smoke. The clips stopped sparking after 4 sparky contacts then stopped. Crap I fried something and still don't know where the short is. Plugged everything back up, put in another fuse. VIOLA!!! Everything works fine. Maybe I shocked it like using the cardiac paddles. I love these cars. Never a dull moment.
