How to get the best out of the search feature here...

Keep the search to two key words and put an " AND " between the two, cuts down on a lotta crap.

There is the other option of just reading all of them, I know there is alot of bullshit thrown in, but ocasionally there is a gem tucked into a thread that you would NEVER find with the search.

I assume you are checking for your name to see what I've been saying about you. Good idea, Toddious. Make sure you check for other names such as:

1) Lobster

2) Drongo

3) Moron

Enough!

The pair of you, cut this shit out!

I don't care who started it, who said what about who's mother/brother or any other sucker, this is a waste of one of the best car resources that exists and I'm sick of seeing this petty, juvenile bullshit take away bandwidth, waste the administrators time, and clog the search function.

I'm not going to read through back posts and see who said what, your both adults (allegedly), and should be mature enough to ignore someone and walkaway.

here endeth thy rant.

I seem to be in the same boat.

Whatever I search for, the greatest percentage of posts have nothing to do with what i'm looking for.

There has to be an answer!

steve, try this...i did a search for "ebay search" and this is what i get search.jpg...i have never been able to find an old post or thread using the forum search...all i get is current stuff that has nothing to do with what i searched for...

in this case, i was looking for a thread started by blunt a couple of months ago where he ask'd about the 2002 parts search string used on ebay...i answered by providing him with the string i used...

i lost my bookmark and wanted to go there and copy it for myself, to no avail using the forum search

i typed in ebay search and told it to search for all posts in all forums and you can see the results....the additional pages are the same stuff, more of the same that don't relate to my query

search has never work'd for me

PS.....if anyone has that search string i posted for blunt, i'd appreciate it if you'd post it for me

I typed in " ebay and search " it was the 9th one down. You have to put the and in the middle of your terms to get the search to work at ALL.

Got any more?
