we got things running and on the street a week and a half ago.

things seem good to go so far. ( besides a 3rd gear synchro problem )

gonna run it for a month or so before doing springs, shocks, big

brakes, interior crap, etc.

i am looking for a steering wheel at this time. ( as opposed to the stock one ) anyone holding ?

i used a bead-roller from harbor freight. it was on sale for $100 at the time.

Charley, I am interested to see what type of reinforcements you made to compensate for taking the cowling structure off.

im in Santa Ana. and you wouldnt see much reinforcements to my front facia other than the top plate, which serves more as a tool shelf and to get air through the radiator.

You may even see some stress cracks due to the reduced sturucture and the increased torque from the motor.

actually, ive seen jeff ireland race season after season with the same on his mule. i plan on adding a strut tower bar, but i really didnt see much need for all that stuff structurally. maybe if i was running a steel hood...
