EFI and M20 guys, what's your fuel mileage?

I've been cotmeplating the motor upgrade for years now......just waiting for the right time to strike.

List what motor/trans/diff combo you have and the average hwy and city MPG.

Nick gets 20/22 with his M20 4-Spd. I have no idea what diff is in it and yes, that's driving the crap out of it. Unfortunately, I set a bad example.

I don't know if this helps you or not, but my stock daily driver E30/M20 gets about 26 mpg in the city...Robert

...I get 22-24 mpg with my M20/OD 5-spd/3.64 lsd. My highway driving is pretty hilly and I often have bikes on the roof, so I'm guessing you could do a little better. Cheers!

Yours is an M20 with the stock BMW electronics, not Megasquirt, right?

Was it difficult to install? The electrics, I mean. I'm sure that I could handle the fabrication and parts allocation (like finding a full donor car with the rear end smashed or something. The electronics are the only thing that scares me.

Otherwise, What were the major obstacles in your project?
