OJ Needs a hand and exhaust in Seattle/East Side.

Managed to get Orange Julius and myself from Michigan to Kirkland without too much difficulty...

Seems that (what's left of) the exhaust sytem is in need of replacing, however, and I really haven't the resources for the expertise of the local independent BMW garage.

Anyone have a rear muffler just lying about??? A virginal center section? Maybe a pair of jackstands? Possibly a floor jack???

With all the damn parts laying about in our garage, we might have a center section, and I'll look for a muffler.

i've got a really decent used original muffler here in VA. i'd be happy to ship it to you for the cost of shipping, it was given to me. it has surface rust, but is in pretty good shape. too bad you can't wait until the end of the month. i'll be in shoreline over labor day.

I might be able to get a complete stock exhaust for you for free. My friend has a parts car but hes a firefighter so if hes home tomorrow i might be able to go wrestle it out of his car. probably need new ring washers tho. Depending on what time saturday i might be able to help wrench, i have to cover for someone at work until 3 30 but i can most likely leave early.

No muffler lying around but do have jack & stands and I'm around this weekend.

Try giving Brian Capp a call, 425.888.4002, he may have a new/used exhaust around his shop. He's in North Bend (east of Kirkland on I-90).

Like mentioned Brian Capp is a big 02 guy and most likely would have what you need. If you dont post on the Puget Sound BMW board (http://www.bmwpugetsound.com/) there is always lots of helpful people there, and many live in the Kirkland/Bellevue area for future reference.

I'll put in a call to Brian Capp and see if he can help me out with an exhaust.

It's the rear section that's really gone, and if I get a used part, I may just hang the rear can and be done with it.

Strictly BMW in Bellevue is a nice place. I was over there yesterday.

I'm having some other issues with the fuel pump, but first things first.

Benetton, thanks for the offer. I think I may need that free exhaust.

I checked the bmwpugetsound website and it looks as if it's kinda busy up here. Cool!

I'll stop by his house on my way home. Ive bought parts from him before and before i could come back(10 minutes) he already had it off the car and cleaned. I'll see what i can do. I wont know until at least 630 as i get off at 5 30 then sit in Narrows bridge traffic for what seems like an eternity.

It's not necessary to stop to retrieve the exhaust. I appreciate your efforts.

well thats good cuz my source is at work now until sunday morning. Do you still need jack stands and jack or are you all set? and crazy man by the name of gwb72tii lives at my house and can help out tomorrow and sunday. I can help tomorrow around 4 and im off all day sunday. Did you permanently relocate to wa? if so all car care company's starting with M and Z are banned in this state. That means a visit to our car care school.
