This might seem premature but I don't think so based on the number of people that I've spoken to that still haven't received their parts over a month ago and counting.

Is there anyway the mods can track this guys IP address and either ban him or track all of his aliases?

Anyone live in Bloomington, CA 92316 that can pay a visit to 2002freak?

Cliff Notes: This guy always solicits parts to people that have WTB ads and also has some FS ads himself. He gets their money and no one has received product yet.

Yep, I am working with paypal to get my money back. He sent me threatening emails, saying that I should cancel my claim, so I assume its working...

Though its a shame, its a small amount of money and the majority of the people on this board are good people.

Feel sorta bad for a guy that needs to scam a starving artist out of a hundred bucks!!!

I got my part from him, but it took too long. I think he stalled out shipping some stuff out, but it got here anyway. Get a tracking # & see if it was shipped out.

He is very reluctant on giving out tracking #'s and the few members that received tracking #'s, were found to be bogus and invalid.

When you say too long, what exactly do you mean? I consider over a month too long without any form of communication or response from the seller.

Transaction on the 8th and got part on 27th, so yep, it took too long. I've found that some private sellers drag their feet where an ebay member with a bunch of positive feedback usually ships fast. But it took too long, although I'm not sure the intentions were to rip people off, or not send the part. Hope things work out, it stinks waiting for something critical.

I bought some parts from him in early July and still haven't seen them. I sent him an email last week and he said they're shipped. :/ It's $25 bucks but still, I like to think I can trust my fellow O2ers.

There's guys that live closer to California where there package was "supposedly" shipped and still haven't seen them. I know for a fact that any item I order from Cali takes less then 7 business days to the Midwest.

It's not about the dollars but about the whole principle. One person might not think $25 is a big deal but when you multiply that by countless others that have sent in $ to the original seller, it would turn into a good sized chunk.

contacted paypal, they say this individual has closed his paypal account; probably to start another one and try to screw more people out of a few dollars. Paypal is unable to retrieve any money sent to this account/ we are screwed.

what kind of pathetic creature does this sort of thing... any one know the local hells angels?? TCOB!

I got an instrument cluster off eBay Monday and it's already arrived, as opposed to the one I ordered from Freak over a month ago. I am no longer holding my breath about hearing from him about refunding me, etc. I am open to suggestions of a next step, i.e. FBI Wire Fraud, Hell's Angels, the Mod Squad, whatever. Jae(John) might be a bad businessman with awful delivery times and horrible customer service but I don't think he is a scammer.
