size of threads for shift knob?

What size are the threads/pitch for the shift knob on my '74?

I searched and couldn't find anything.

My stock knob feels way too light and cheap. I'd rather find something of higher quality and weight. Switching to a push-on type sounds like it'd pretty redneck, so I'd rather find one with the right threads.

Same as many VW's. My 1602 has a shift knob from a VW Caravelle (mid 80's van) it even has the right shift pattern for my 4 speed. Beaner7102
