...this place gets repopulated!

stopping in to say "hey" and that yes, my old '73 is still sitting in the garage waiting for divine inspiration to take over. I have a fever, and the only medicine is more flyfishing. so the 02 sits idly by but hell, at least it's not getting much worse.

I still have tons of parts that are free to good homes - so if you're around MD give me a holler.

Greetings, Marty -- "Otis" and I are in Kensington, down the road a bit from you. Might need a few parts here and there -- drop me a line at davidbowen5828 at comcast dot net.

Hello Marty!

I'm a relatively new 02 owner up in Bel Air (somewhat close to Tim in MD) and I'm currently trying my best to get my 73tii on the road but, I just cant seem to stop breaking things or finding more parts to replace :-)

Anyone from MD recognize this car? I've had little luck in finding out the cars history.

Take Care,

Casey

("loveable rustbunny") --

I'm not sure, perhaps that would be one and the same -- Otis has been tooling around the 'hood for quite some time now, and it's hard to miss that license plate (by which most know him). Otis is the car that was parked at Lothar's place for a long time, as the display car for East Coast Auto Sound. Still, Otis has undergone a substantial transformation recently -- roadworthy now, and he's even been spruced up with some new Panasports and T-Proxies! I'm really happy with the look -- lower, more aggressive stance. Patti calls the Panasports, "Otis' dress shoes."

Anyway, NIH is right down the street from me -- walking distance, in fact. We'll have to get together and mash motors -- or eat a good seafood dinner -- Otis likes to park in downtown Bethesda on restaurant row, and we get a nickel for every time someone asks, "Hey, is that a 2002?"

As for parts, I am knocking heavily on wood right now that I don't need anything - crossing my fingers as I type. But I was hoping for some side markers, if you have any laying around. And, I do have some rust issues on the undercarriage. I'm dreading what I'll find, but he goes up on the lift in a few days - I'll report back. Thanks so much for the offer.

We're looking forward to meeting you in person. Regards/David and Patti

you coming to seattle again this year? if you are we need to get together and toss the fly around. There are at least 5 of us seattle area 02ers that fly fish and the rivers are always a blast in september.

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again, but life goes on

I'll be a "free" man for the next 2 months or so. Look for me in the next few weekends! I'll stop by and eat up some of your time.

benetton- I'm trying hard to get out to Portland for a long weekend, but we're going to take a trip to more tropical climes during my wife's one week hiatus. Should be bonefish on the menu. If all goes well, we will be living out your way (Portland, anyway) for about 8 years come next June. HOPEFULLY! If anything changes re: our plans to get out to the PNW anytime between now and spring, I'll let you know.

Anyone heard from Reg BigDog lately?

take it easy guys and gals, if you need parts email me: mromeo AT jhsph DOT edu
