I bought a pair of stock replacement front subframe mounts the other week and plan on installing them this weekend. Any suggestions for this procedure? I am plan on feeling a nice little improvement in the ride quality. Thanks.

ummm... the front subframe bolts directly to the body. So yes, if you add bushings, your ride will certainly improve!

Seriously, whad'ya get?

(a polite way to say: skeptical), I have never heard of subframe mounts. It (the subframe) bolts directly to the rails. The wheels (and hence the road) is insulated from the driver by the upper strut bushings and the lower control arm bushings.

I would think it would be tampering with the original design if we installed subframe bushings, perhaps unsafe too. By then again, I have not done a finite analysis on that structure, and I am by no means an authority.
