it's not that hard. don't split the calipers. when you blow the pistons out put a old pad or a thin piece or wood in front. watch your fingers.

check the price of the seal kit. some are pricey.

I rebuilt the ones I'm using including spliting the calipers. It wasn't too difficult. Hardest part was getting the pistons out. I had to grip the edge of the pistons with a vice grip and bang on the caliper with a rubber mallet.

If I recall, getting the pistons out was why I spilt the calipers....to get more aggressive at pulling the pistons out.

Check with a Volvo dealer. I purchased exhange remanuf. calipers from Volvo a few years ago and they were a reasonable price then.

You can do it yourself very easily. Like the others have said getting the pistons out can be a bit frustrating though. If you have an air tank you can use some compressed air to blow them out. Be sure to wrap up the caliper in a towel or something when you do this, otherwise the piston may pop out and act like a bullet hitting you or something else!
