Had the opportunity to meet Ryan and dad, Rick in Mass today. Not a barn find, but a "mechanic" find.

Rick found a nice 73tii at his mechanic's shop that had been sitting there for eight years. When he opened the hood, he discovered it had an A4! He bought it and Ryan has been diligently bringing if back to great running condition. I love the hammering sound of an A4 gives when the air box is off.....

The A4 is sorted out and seems to be running very well.Congratulations to Ryan and Rick is saving another rare part and car.

The car runs well enough to be on the road, but Ryan is working on the front sway bar and then there is that thing of state inspections and licensing.

I'm begining to think these things were not as rare as we first thought :-P

Maybe I might have to put the auto back in mine to make it a real rare bird!

and it was a pleasure learning from Bill! He was skilled in the black art of getting the A4 to purr. The engine now runs fantastically, and he was great at pointing out different things that need attention that I would have never guessed to look at. Very psyched to have such a cool car and such cool enthusiests to go with it!
