Can I fix this leak without taking the manifold out?Can I tighten down or replace the stud without removal ?

I've read that there is an oil passage back there? I just got the darn thing back in there after the car was sitting too long.

SHIT!!

Any help is appreciated.

ok your problem is an easy one.You do not need to remove the manifold BUT you do need to loosen the nuts on all the studs to pull it back some in order to put a new gasket in there if it burned out.You can remove both stud on that port it is easy and slip a new gasket in there.if the gasket is in good shape then just remove the studs and replace the,.The studs threa directly into the head.If you remove the valve cover and look on the inside of the head near the bottom of the valve spring cups or about where you think the stud go into the head. There you go.No oil jacket there just an arear where oil tends to go.You could cover up the hole with some JB weld and it will not leak anymore out of there. If your studs are stripped then new ones of a LARGER size is in order. If that s the case then damage is already done not it is all about how much funds you have and time to fix this.If stripped then you need to do this right or it will come back and haunt you when you least expect it Good LUck

do you think the jb weld will hold forever? I'm willing to try this, if it will save me a lot of time.

Thanks for the input fellas.
