Haven't posted in quite some time but I haven't gone far. Mostly been lurking because I can't sign on for one reason or another. I figured it was time to post again because my car needs some help. I'm in the process of re-wiring (Creating a completely new wire loom/harness) my car and would like to relocate the fuse box to the interior of the car. I have a modified dash which will have an integrated shorty (like the early cars) center console. There will also be an extended gauge section below the "fasten seat belts" like the ones you can buy at any aftermarket store. I am angling the center console like the E21, at the driver and would like to integrate the fuse box into the lower to mid section of the center console. The end result will hopefully yield a flat, angled panel running from the top of the dash to the transmission tunnel which can be used for switches, gauges, radio, fuses, etc… I'm looking for a set of switches that are both fused and illuminated, some just illuminated switches and some similar to the protected switches you see in the movies where they flip up the red cover to press the button that sets off the bomb - or something like that.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be most helpful. I'm looking for single row units, like a row of six or eight, DIN size (like a in dash aftermarket radio unit) would be best so I can stack them one on top of another. Similar looking units can be found in many racecars however I have no idea where to source the parts.

Again your help is always appreciated. 4222580

switch from ceramic bullet fuses to ATE style fuses. They take up less room, and they are more reliable.
