Vehicle Description

You are looking at a rarity of BMW history. This is a 1964 BMW Bertone 3200 CS Coupe with a V8 engine and a 4 speed Manual Transmission. To open an exclusive high performance car market in 1960's, BMW selected the famous Italian designer Nuccio Bertone to design a coupe version on the base of "Baroque Angel" sedan (BMW 502 line). The result was a sober but exceedingly elegant car, one of the most beautiful (and most expensive) coupes BMW ever made. This Bertone has only 60,000 ORIGINAL miles and every part of this car, from top to bottom, is still in its original form. There were only 603 cars made between the years of 1962-1965. In 1964, there were ONLY a total of 267 of these BMWs on the market. When I took this BMW to the Monterey Concorso Italiano show, this was the only one there. Today there are only about 5 Bertone coupes in the US, and only about 20 left world wide. This is truly a must have, for the BMW collector, as you can see in the pictures below. This is a beautiful BMW, and only one of its class still left.

-I like the roundie tail lights. Beautiful Car, looks Charmonix white.

years, and have never seen this one anywhere or even heard of its existance. If it's been around town for any length of time, I'm surprised it hasn't turned up at any of the local concours events.

Wonder what the reserve is - way out of my price range, regardless.......

I saw this car at Concorso Italiano in '03, it is very nice though unrestored and not mint. I would love to own it, if I had a place to park it. The guy has offered it for sale on ebay 3 times over the past 2-3 years but it has never reached Reserve price (each time bids up to about 25k), and each time he has said he lives in Sacramento. I don't think he ever really drives it around though, the miles seem about the same each listing.

I've never seen nor heard of one of those, but I have seen a Glas 3000 GT at a classic car dealer in San Rafael, CA. Next to it was, for example, a Porsche 914/6. No idea if it's still there though.
