It all depends on how wide the wheel is! A 6 in. wheel with a 3 in. backspace would have 0 offset. A 7 in wheel with a 3 in. backspace would have a +1 inch offset. Offset is the distance from wheel center either positive or negative. Get it? Once you have the inches, you need to convert to MM since that is usually the standard for offset.

Correct (5.5" /2=2.75") What wheel have you found and are trying to fit?

Some people include the rim thickness and lip when measuring backspacing, so find out if that is the case here. That can add 1/4 to 1/2 inch to the backspacing.
