OT: E30 stock seats fit into a 5-series?

I grabbed a pair of front seats from an E30 in case I could modify them to fit into my 02...alas no go. they just sit too high. Good vinyl stock seats though, very clean.

Now, in trying to sell them I am getting questions about whether they will fit into any 5-series models.

If anbody can chime in here I would greatly appreciate it.

Check www.firstfives.org. They have a parts interchange list for the E12 5-series and other models. The seats from an E12 will swap for the E28 seats as well. I know some E12 owners have put E30 sport seats in their E12s, so you might find a buyer on that board. It is not a bolt-in swap however, the rails need modification to fit. So: E30s will fit E12 and E28 5-series with some effort.
