After adjusting the valves on the weekend, I was resetting the timing, adjusted the idle to 1400rpm as per the book, disconected the vac advance hose from the dizzy and the idle didn't change. Plugged it and the idle dropped and was really rough (compared to before).

1. So is the vac unit dead?

2. If so are they all the same for different dizzys??

3. Can I just give it more timing advance, till I sort it out???

test the vac module bu attaching a hose and sucking to see if it holds a vacuum. If its dead, its one big leak.

I think that you can get replacements at the dealer, but they are in the neighborhood of $70.

I had a hard time finding enough accurate information to be able to buy one in the aftermarket.

Real OEM lists a vacuum regulator repair set for $11.83. Part number is: 12111351441.

I need one as well but I can't figure out how to order from Real OEM!

Don't know what its dealis, but we like the resource.

The "repair kit" is not something that will fix a broken vacuum module diaphragm. I think that its a set of washers and screws.
