I noticed that the wires (two) connected to my oil pressure switch are old and freyed. While the engine is running, if I manipulate these two wires, I can get the engine to stall. Does this sound right? I was under the impression that the switch only lit up the oil warning light on the dash. Does it also connect to the ignition somehow? Both wire are connected at the switch together, and both dive back into the loom at the fire wall.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Simon

My fuel pump (aftermarket) suggested I wired it into the oil pressure switch so that if the motor dies (and loses oil pressure) the fuel pump will cut out.

just a thought.

Jon
