trouble starting after oil pump change

Need your help, please.

The car was running well before starting. It's a 1975 2002A (for my wife).

Just changed the oil pump and pan gasket, front crank seal and lower timing chain cover gaskets, and water pump. Now it won't start. It turns over fine and there is spark at the plugs and fuel being pumped. Tried changing the rotor, cap, wires and plugs (it's got a Pertronix ignitor and a Blue Bosch coil).

What am I missing? Never touched the timing chain when replacing the oil pump. Is it something stupid?

If your getting spark and gas, it's gotta be timing. It sounds like you didn't move the crank to cam relationship, that should make the distributer still correct.

If it were me I'd stop, and start over and retime the motor. Valve cover off and find #1 TDC and go from there.

Good luck.

Thanks!

I'm going to try the timing.
