I have an electric pump with a pressure regulator, guage and dual Mikunis and the pump failed. It was pretty noisy and I wanted advise on replacing the pump with a quality and quiet one.

Suggestions?

Thanks,

Had no problems with small rectangular Holley. Have an identical never used backup pump with the brand name purolator on it. I beleive the same manufacturer now offers an improved pump that is fully clad in plastic - suggesting it is impervious to weather. Friend who touts the latter uses it for a marine application.

I've only had one, Carter 4070, got it from Summit Racing, it was less than top end performance wanted for it. It came with mounting bracket, I put it in the trunk for easy access, need to mount it under car though, it is a little noisy, but I didn't do anything to lessen the noise, like put rubber between the bracket & the wheel well. After I got a Ireland muffler set, I couldn't hear it anymore :-)

Oh yea, I went to Auto zone to get different size fittings to match up the fuel hose size. I think that's all TEP really does to the stock 4070 pump.
