I am pretty sure they are a grey bag with black piping around the edges... well at least that is what I think the ones you can still buy brand new, complete from BMW Look like.

EDIT - see below...

I had a brand new MINI with a black exterior with red edges... I am not 100% sure... knowing how dfferent the MINI specs were when they sent the cars from the factory, I assume it would be a "get what we have" kinda deal.

I'll watch this thread to see if there is a more accurate answer.

Saw a new one for sale while perusing Jaymic last night. Although it may be not OEM, I cant imagine they would do them in anything but orig colors. I didn't pay alot of attention to the colors, but you can look it up thru them easily. Color photo.

On Keith's (http://www.my2002tii.com) latest update he shows his original kit is black with blue piping.

You spoze BMW had several colors thru the years of the roll material? If his is a 74, that might be the same for a 75, I've never seen one that color myself. Mine was gone when I got the car.

P.S. He's got a link where he is selling 5 speed shift patter decals for the dash, just ordered mine up, 2 for $6 with shipping if you need one.

I showed that picture to my dad, and he immediately recognized it as looking like the toolkit for his BMW bike. He dug it up, and it's actually brown with blue piping.

But from the looks of this thread, it seems like they came in all sorts of color variations.

piping....Actually I think they made 'em up from whatever scraps of vinyl were laying about--either at the BMW factory or some supplier who made 'em for BMW. My '69 has a grey tool roll with (I think) red piping... and both are original to their cars.
