...soon.

All set to move to the Bay Area and I get a call from a friend in Seattle who needs a bit of help for a while.

To make a long story short, I'll be taking up temporary residence in Kirkland for a few months.

So, during the month of July, I get to drive to Seattle twice -- once to take my stuff to storage near my temporary digs and another to drive Orange Julius.

In another week, OJ will be getting a checkup and few other repairs to assure his reliability on the way West. He's also geting a 5-speed and 3.90 LSD rear.

Meanwhile, I'm making plans to be at BMW CCA Oktoberfest 2006 in Grand Rapids (where I currently reside). Afterward, around the 29th or so, I'll be looking for a westbound caravan of Bimmers to hook up with.

Anybody out there????

Wow, a five speed and LSD is a big step forward... It should make quite a nice highway cruiser!

Did that kit that Dubois's beast got convince you?

Just converted to 5-speed with three-nine LSD, myself. Makes all the difference in the world.

Don't know precisely/exactly yet - just got everything set up, and need to have the speedo re-calibrated (went to Panasports and Proxies, which threw off the readings) -- but I'm guessing, 3k? I'll calibrate, take a look, and report back.

Sorry to divert the topic -- I believe the original question here is whether anyone was out West for our friend . . . so PTI (pardon the interruption). (But the 5-speed is a killer mod.)

Ah, Seattle and SF, both great cities. Won't be able to make O'fest this year. Delia, good luck with your move. Paul and Reno.

I bounce back and forth between school Washington State (on the east side) and Olympia (south of seattle) Mien should be all painted and put back together by then so I would be all for some kind of 02ness. Just keep me posted, you can email me at biggreenchero@ hotmail com.

Orange Julius won't be able to make it...he's staying in Michigan for O'Fest in Grand Rapids.

...but I might be there, tho...

Sure...

It's only an eighteen hour drive from Seattle to Palo Alto instead of, like about fifty from Michigan.

I heard a rumor that they need more Inka tiis in California...

:)
