Turn Signals and Rear Lights

Nearing completion after 3 years but being dogged by electrical issues.

Suddenly, my turn signals and rear lights do not work (they did!). Checked the fuse box.

Can anyone point me to the ususal suspects?

Turn Signals or ? and which Rear Lights--tail, brake, T/S?

When you checked fuses, didja remove and clean 'em, AND their spring clips? Those fuses actually wear thru at the point where they engage the clips. Later cars have left and right side parking/tail lights on separate fuses; check your fuse sticker.

Check brake light function by shorting across the brake light switch with the ign on; if the lights then work, it's the switch. Cheapo and easy to replace.

Turn signals--do you hear the turn signal box clicking? Does the inside light work? Check and report back.

I do not hear the switch clicking.

That was a good tip - the hazard switch was not depressed.

When depressed, the turn signals worked.

However,

- the four way flasher did not work, and

- the turn signals did not light up when the headlight switch was pulled out

Any other thoughts?
