This question mostly goes out to the EFI guys.

I am looking for a circuit that is only hot while cranking/running. I thought the idle cutoff solenoid would do it but nope, its on when the ignition is on. This isnt what I am looking for correct?

Also, I was using some copper wire and the current didnt flow through it at all. I couldn't get my LC-1 o2 sensor to turn on. Any thoughts?

How much current do you need? If a small amount, say an amp or less, tap into Fuse 9, 10, or 11. If you need a few amps or more, add a relay; connect the coil to one of those fuses and ground; connect one side of the contacts through a fuse to the battery; connect the other side to your load.

Yes. I will definitely be using a relay. I have to make sure I have decent power to my megasquirt, injectors, etc.

I guess I do have the right wire. It just seemed weird because my megasquirt, pump, and o2 sensor "running" when I have the ignition on. That does seem to make sense though. Sorry my stupidity :(. I hope this post at least helps another electronics newbie like me.
