fasener question, intake manifold nuts..

I know the intake/exhuast manifold nuts are M8 x 1.25, but should they fit with a 13mm wrench of a 12mm. I have some nuts that are 13mm and some that are 12mm. I am trying to find the smaller 12mm but am not having any luck with local fasener joints.

I need something a little smaller to clear the runners on my turbo exhaust manifold.

any idea where i can get these?

Try McMaster-Carr, I've ordered from them a few times and they appear to have EVERYTHING.

Try the bmw dealership for those copper lock nuts. They are 12mm, and have the slit in it to be a lock nut. I don't know the part number off the top of my head, but you can ask for the nuts for the exhaust manifold studs

the M20-M10-M30 all have the 12mm nuts you are looking for. Have a look at the local wreckers
