32/36 with 292 - what jets and ign timing are you running?

For all you guys with a 32/36 and a 292 cam, what jetting are you running and how do you have your ignition timing set?

I'm still obsessed with the fact that my car's running hotter (but not overheating). I started with primary idle 60, Primary fuel 145 and Air Correction 170. I bumped up to primary fuel 155 in two steps, it didn't run cooler, and I think I lost a bit of power with the last bump. I'm now back to 145/170. I did set the ignition timing slightly more advanced than "the ball" at 1400 rpm. I have no way to determine how much more, but it's just a couple of degrees at the most. It ran even better with the timing more advanced, but that could be because it's been pretty hot outside over the weekend.

I'd like to know what everyone else is running with regards to jets and timing!

Do I just need to get a bigger radiator at this point? Is it a problem when it runs at about 2/3 of the white band on the temp guage? I've read repeatedly that '02s can have overheating problems. The original owners manual says it's ok to hit the red, just not for extended periods. Based on that, I shouldn't worry about it. It's been in the mid 90's here in so cal over the weekend, and the temp needle never got past 2/3 of the white band. What do you all think? Am I just fussing over nothing?

Again, grounds are good, coolant is fresh, radiator was just redone, just re did the valve lash (0.006") and retorqued the head this morning - no difference. Carb is only six months old, thermostat is only a couple of months old.

I'd say the 292 cam is the best way to really get more power compared to all the other usual mods we do and the motor really will create more heat. Yes i would go for more cooling but you may want to measure oil temp and look for an oil cooler from a 3 series. The M3's run a dinky radiator and an oil cooler and don't have cooling problems
