Rear shock replacement

About the toughest part is getting the fuel vapor tank out of the way in the trunk. Don't really need to do, but it does give you more room to work.

Take off the rubber cap, and then the two nuts on top of the shock. Jack up one side of the car and remove the 17 or 19mm bolt that holds the bottom of the shock. As the bolt comes out, there may be some pressure as the shock pushes down.

Check the condition of the upper rubber shock mounts.

Installing the shock, you will need to compress it and then feed it up into the upper mount. Get the lower bolt started before the shock expands out its' full reach or else it will be difficult to start the lower bolt.

Do not overtighten the upper nuts. The mount should be snug, but not overly compressed.
