BMW 2002 FAQ:

02s Online:

Roadfly Alternative Message Boards

By Rob

Shisler

The following is a list of websites that support other BMW models,

both new and old. Some of these sites were created as direct alternatives

to the hated Roadfly messageboard system, and others predate it. In

any event, we thought it would be nice if there was a central listing

of them. If you "see" something missing or that needs a correction,

please just email Rob.

Enjoy!

Classic/Vintage* BMWs:

Big Coupe Group - Listserver

and Technical Library supporting owners of the E24 Six-Series Coupes

built from 1976 through 1988.

BMW

CS Registry - The Original CS Registry for E9 models in operation

since 1981. There are no forums on the site but they do have an email

list that dates from the days before email!

E21

Community Website - The first "3-series" cars built

from 1977 through 1983. You'll need to register to access their forums,

but I'm told its well worth it with plenty of 323 folks and good tech

info.

BMW E30.net

- The 3-Series cars that replaced the E21s. This links to the main

index since they have four forums to choose from.

E9

Enthusiasts Forum - Message board and website for the classic

"CS" Coupes built from 1968-1977. Possibly the most beautiful

and elegant of the post-war BMWs.

First

Fives.org - One of the first BMW message board systems on the

internet, this site supports the classic E12 Sedans built from 1972

through 1981. This links to the main page, so just click on the "Bulletin

Board" link on the left for access to the forum.

My E28.com - Follow-up to the

E12s, made from '82 through '89. This one links to their index page,

but just click on the "Forums" link at the top.

Neue Klasse Sedans FAQ and Forum - Covers the four door sedans that were the immediate predecessors to the '02 body style.

Old Sevens.com - Focussing

on the E23 Seven Series built from 1977 through 1986.

R3V Limited.com - Another

E30 website with tech articles and several forums.

Senior

Six.org - Also known as the Senior Six Registry (SSR), these folks

covering the E3 models built from 1969 through 1976 have tech info

and a Listserver on their site. Click on "Senior Six Registry

Information" on the left for the link to the Email list.

More-Recent BMW Models:

Bimmerforums.com

- A general BMW message board system aimed at the newer cars.

Bimmer.Info

E34 Forums - Message Boards supporting the E34 Five-Series models

built from 1989-'96.

BMW E34.net - Another E34 site

with tech info and forum.

BMW Nation.com -

Website aimed at the current BMW models. Just click on the "Forums"

link at the top of the home page.

DTM Power.net

- Dedicated to tuning-for-power primarily for the E36 and E46 3-Series

BMWs.

E46 Fanatics.com - Site

with tech information and forums covering the latest 3-series models

made from 1999 through today.

Jimmy 540i.com

- E39 5-series Owner's site with message forum and info about his

Dinan supercharged 540i.

M3 Forums.com

- Message board system specifically for the 3-Series ///M Cars.

M5

Board.com - You guessed it! Message board forum for ///M5 fans.

Includes all ///M5 models from the e28 through the upcoming E60.

Mini2.com Forums - Yes, its a

BMW! Website for the neu MINI cars from BMW AG. Click on the "Community"

tab to access the forums.

MWerks.com - An offshoot of

the popular VW Vortex site, aiming at the newer BMWs but with forums

for Vintage bimmers as well. Click on the MWerks Community link at

the top to access their forums. Registration required, but they use

the same system for VW Vortex so your ID there should work on MWerks.

* We define "Classic/Vintage" as models covered by the Mobile

Tradition parts system.

Again, if you have any additions or corrections, please just either

email Rob or post

them to the Message

Board!
