I know there's a linkage mod involved. Only three returns in a faq search for "booster delete." I'm only curious at this point - is anybody actually doing this?

I think that's the thread I was reading. I'll give it a try once I have my new stuff on the car. Should be a couple weeks. I'll report back.

and you'll see the section of pipe that replaces the booster on these cars. Might be hard to find, because I think all the cars that came to the US had power brakes. Can anyone with an early 1600 (6 or 67) confirm?

cheers

I thought the real early 1600-2 and maybe(?) 2002s had the remote booster like all the RHD models have.

cork your big vacuum line and you can get an instant simulation. hope your calves are healthy! ;)

There is a really strong spring in the booster that will be misleading. I'll let everyone know when my car starts coming back together.

WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF REMOVING THE

BRAKE VACUUM BOOSTER ??

HOW MUCH POWER DOES YER CAR HAVE ??

HOW FAST DO YOU DRIVE ??

IS THIS JUST FOR 'TRACK' EVENTS ?

OR WILL THIS CAR BE DRIVEN ON PUBLIC HIGHWAYS ?

.............. it's a real bad idea

Mine will be an autyocross car only. i need to get rid of the booster to be able to fit a functional airbox. i have not started on this project yet. Probably will remove it int he early summer.

For me it's just a curiosity, having driven a car with unassisted brakes for the past 12 years. I understand the '02's braking system was designed to work with a booster, and will likely function much better as designed. So really I'm just curious.
