Post your long-term projects HERE!! We're talking anything from a conversion to fuel injection, engine swaps, five-speed conversions, all the way up to total restoration projects!!

Please use common sense in replying in other peoples' project threads, the idea being that they are *their* threads and most other people probably want to see project progress and not a lot of OT stuff *within* each thread. Each person will have a different take on this, so if you really want your project thread to be "tight" (with few replies from others), just say so in your first post. My own view is that it doesnt take any time to scroll through "way to go!" type feedback posts or questions, so i personally would be pretty lax about it all. Let common sense be your guide!!

I was also kind of surprised to see a lot of stuff that should have either been in the OT or General Discussion forums in the "test" forum while we were using it for blogging... Try to keep this forum exclusively for long-term projects not general questions or other OT stuff.

YAH!! this is going to be cool.... Steve had an even cooler idea of somehow combining almost a personal "home page" idea where a person's gallery could be, a project blog (or more than one) where the person could log project progress and then a *seperate* guestbook-style forum for questions, atta-boys, etc. Or variations on that theme... BUT, that's a little too ambitious for us right now. We *will* have a gallery and some other ideas are floating around... But this new forum is still going to be supercool i hope. So far, so good. I mean, even with the blogs hidden away in the dust bin of the Test forum, they've done REMARKABLY well!! Now that we've gotten a seperate forum, they should really take off!! I might start my own once i take Lisa off the road (ahem... finish jetta transmission transplant) and begin by making a list of things she needs done.... ;-) ENJOY ALL!!

hey i'm trying to figure out just how to start a new project blog, my username is 2002worker, maybe it's cause i'm pretty new i'm not really sure.

Just start your blog as a "new topic" as usual, in the blog forum, and each entry is actually a "reply" renamed for what the new info is pertaining to, or as an edit and added to the end, to have one long post...

See mine in my signature. I name each entry/reply so it is key word searchable, in case anyone else wants to read over a project...

To go even further, you could make each little project a separate entry, then it is most searchable..

I'm new to this site. Just bought a '70 E10 from my buddy a couple of months ago and am just started tinkering with the restoration/repair and upgrade.

Great idea for this forum and project blog site. I have pictures and will post soon.
