Just wanted to clarify, the Primary choke on a 32/36 is the one that opens first?

Both chokes open or close together.

What you probably mean is the throttle.

As far as I know, the primary barrel/throttle is the 32, and yes, it opens first. Seems like nearly 3/4 of the gas pedal travel only operates the primary side. You really have to be on the gas to get the secondary 36 throttle to open.

Others on this board know more about carbs and can probably explain better.

Thanks Mike thats what I thought but was'nt sure.

Jets are all over the place on the 32/36 I got, they were ment to be off a RS2000 Mk2 Escort which would be around the same as a 02 but the jets were

Primary

Idle 50 Air 170 Main 140

Secondary

Idle 45 Air 140? Main 140?

Was fine on idle but was over lean when the second Throttle opened up, big flat spot.

I Changed around the Two air corrections and have better torque on the primary. Ordered Jets according to CD's prescription for the 32/36. Should get them from Mc Namara's of Dublin on Thursday.
