If anyone needs longer wheel studs due to spacers/bigger wheels I have sucessfully used the rear wheel stud from the 3.0 CS in both the rear axle flange and the front hub. BMW P/N is 33411106765. The studs have the same 12x1.5 threads so you can use the same lugs on all wheels and they cost about $3/each. Overall length is about 3/8 longer than the 2002 rear flange stud which allows me to run a 1/2 inch spacer to clear my coilovers on my A/X car.

I think that's what the "Interim Owner" of our 2002 put on the front when he ran alloys and needed longer studs. They may be the same part as the CS studs.

The studs can be purchased from the dealer. They may not be the same as the Bavaria part unless the Bav in question was known to have been originally equipped with alloy wheels. The mounting flange difference between steelies and alloys apparently necessitated the longer stud. Removal/install is simple with a BFH as they are pressed into the axle flange and the front hub with knurling around the mounting shoulder. Took me about 5 minutes per front hub with Mr. BFH.
