Yes, you can rotary compressor. A fellow in Winston-Salem, NC has this set up. My next M2 will have air, too!

I was looking to purchase the A/C unit from I.C.E which uses a rotary compressor design for 2002's. I will install the A/C b4 I do the swap for the S14. Just thinking ahead for that future project.

I would share more info with you but engine is being rebuilt & garage that pulled the engine has all paperwork including a/c info. Perhaps by the time you're actually ready to do it(if not immediately),I'll have documentaiont & can share with you.

Eventually when I am ready to do the S14 swap in my car, I will look into all the details on doing it right. Here in Florida, definitively we need A/C on our cars.
