I'm about to order a strut bar. I've looked at the ones from Steve K and Ireland. They appear to be the best so far. Any other recommendations? I did a forum search but didn't see any others I liked.

I definitely want one that goes straight across because that's the most rigid configuration!

there won;t be any replies about the FAQ bar yet, since there is only one prototype :) But they will be ready soon. I ran Ireland Bar in the past. It is a very good product.

I have the Ireland one, mine is the Tii model. It is a very well built item. Strong, with no play at all.

My bar is really beefy and I like it!

funny...2 posts up I posted a strut bar problem and your picture illustrates what I was talking about exactly...I see you cut the bar and not the brake fluid bracket.

Looks like mine has more space between the brake fluid bracket and the shock tower! Hmmmmmmmmmm...

I guess not a high tolerance area from the factory? They must have just slapped them on there willy-nilly.

I suspect that's the case. Hey, any particular reason you went with a bar that has bends instead of a straight one? Air filter clearance perhaps?

nope...pure vanity...I thought it looked the coolest.

It is very stout though...I doubt there will be any flex of any kind. It seems pretty burly.

Straight across is still the strongest, but unless you've got really stiff suspension and you're doing lots of track days it should be fine. Certainly better than nothing!

Very nice, is that a supercharger or am I just tired?

I just got my strut bar in the mail on Wednesday from Walloth u Nesch, very prime piece of aluminum, looks nice, too.

that I don't particularly like is that while the bar itself is stiff the mounts are fairly maliable. I have the tii bar and it took some work to fit without rubbing the hood. In the process I noticed how easy it was to bend the mount itself. Maybe no biggie but it does seems that a little more beef wouldn't hurt.
