Any one here ever know of a problem where Haggerty would not pay on a claim for a stolen car?

My buddy had his '67 Chevy Chevelle stolen and vandalized by some punks just for fun. The car was found several weeks later but by then the claim was long entered.

He claims that they wouldn't pay the full 'agreed' value of the car. Anyone ever hear of this before?

Unless there was something specific in the policy that gave them the ability to undercut the agreed upon value its hard to say. Must be something in the policy regarding the value, perhaps a percentage if they consider it a total loss or not.

Not quite enough info to speculate.

I would suggest that your buddy take his full policy to a lawyer and have the lawyer contact his insurance company. They usually try to screw you, if the car wasn't appraised etc then maybe not much he can do.
