Today it was in the mid 70s here in D.C. land and I was out enjoying my newly rebuilt front suspensin and sway--bars(thanks Paul W.)When the tii got up to mid-range on the temp. guage the idle would drop to approx.500rpm.After the car cooled,the idle would stabilize at 1000 rpm???

Ideas,solutions would be appreciated

The choke might be an issue and releasing late. I've found though, that my 2002, is not very cold natured. It runs best at tempurature and it should be tuned when warm. My car is a carbed 2002 though, so tiii, might be a little different.

Wow, that's a strange one. Maybe you have a vacuum leak that is sealing itself shut when the car gets hot? Perhaps the cold start valve starts dripping when hot?

I think I'd try to re-create the situation and try poking/twisting/unhooking/etc. everything to see if you can find the source.
