Well just got finished with the POR-15 on the ol' engine. I painted the head with aluminum high temp engine paint and then painted the block and pan with POR-15 Red. A nice high gloss and very 'powdercoat-like'.

I now regret painting mine plain ol' black!

You will need to buy Bosch oil filters from now on the Orange Fram looks out of place!

CRAP! Your right! HAHA I never even noticed that.

STU, did you paint your webers as well? any more pics of those? I'm going to paint the intake manifold red to match the block and was thinking of running a polished valve cover that I did and polishing the webers...things change though.

Sure, I have lots of pics of the carbs; a couple are attached. I just had my engine built, and I believe the carbs were bead blasted but not painted.

I think my mechanic gets them at the local Napa auto parts store. His wife doesn't know . . .hehe.

I can't tell you. My car was in the shop for months having a mechanical restoration including engine rebuild, 5 speed conversion, suspension, etc. There's no line item for bead blasting.
