can you see the camshaft numbers on the end of the cam while it is in the car? Do you have to remove the sprocket to see them? The only numbers I see on my cam are on the shaft itself. The numbers are R118 0083.2. There is a band of olive green paint with the number 756 embosed on it. Do any of these numbers make sense to anyone?

You have to remove the sprocket if you are trying to ID a schrick cam.

Does it say Dr. Schrick on the cam itself? That should be visible.

Or you could measure the lobe height and base circle.
