For all ya'll that have been reading the faq this past week know I have been having some trouble with a used 32/36 DGV that I got recently. Well last night I was tinkering again and found out my problem with the used 32/36. (I must have drank too much beer or fell assleep during the install or something because the primary venturi was infact installed backwards!!! Doh!!) So I fixed what was wrong (thanks for the diagnostic help Zenon!) and now the carb is running perfectly. I was letting the motor warm up so I could go for the first drive with the 32/36 and then noticed a nice 2" wide trickle of water going down the side of the block right under the upper water neck. Upon further inspection my water neck has a hair line crack running from top to bottom on the rear of the housing. So now that the carb is tuned and I can drive the car it looks like I am still 02 less because of this water leak. Damn, if it's not one thing it is always something else!! O2 salvage was able to get me the water neck and have it delivered to me tomorrow. I will finally be able to drive my car agian this weekend!! Any one in Sac area want to go for a drive? Salmon Falls Road mabey?

Thats why I had to say "thank you" to all involved in the process!!

To many times people give out advice asking to hear back as to what happened yet rarely does any of the other members respond back when they get the problem figured out.

I am really pleased with the help from this board and I want everyone to know just how grateful I really am!!!!

Thanks for the follow-up, glad I could help. Being told "you're right" really makes it all worthwhile. ;-)

BTW, did you do the shim trick to make the loose venturi snug? It could still be beneficial.

regards,

Zenon

I was gona shim it as well but the thickness of a soda can is a tad bit "to thick" to make things fit with out having to "force" it.

Once again Zenon thank you for your time, knowledge, and most importantly help!!!!
