I bought a '74 tii back in November as a project car and I need to fix the driver side rear subframe mount. The subframe is actually hanging down from the car in this area because the floor/mount is rusted. Has anyone gone about fixing one these mounting points? I'm assuming I can just weld in some sheet metal..but I'm a novice welder so I was wondering what else could be done in the interim to fix it while I learn how to weld. Also, does anyone have any pics of the subframe mounts with the subframe not mounted? TIA

Hopefully you are not driving the car like that.

Anyway, I believe that you can get replacement floorboards from Max or 2002ad. I know fronts are available, and I *think* rears are too.

You might be able to get away with some patching, but I'd be worried about safety.

YMMV
