While adjusting the idle speed and idle mixture screws on a 32/36 weber, it recommends to turn the screws 1-1/2 for the idle speed and 2 turns for the mixture screw. Now is one turn actually one turn of the screwdriver ( which is 1/2 of the screws revolutionor) one complete revolution of the screw itself?

Thanks for the help.

how can one turn of a crew driver be one half turn of a screw?

think about it. sounds kind of screwy to me.

I assume he wrote "one turn of a screwdriver" meaning one single hand motion used to turn a screw. Unless you've got a super flexible wrist, one hand turn of a screwdriver equates to about one half rotation.

I haven't posted here in over a year even though I read the posts everyday. Finally a question popped up I could answer. Maybe I am learning.

"I am trying to think, but nothing is happening" a quote from the 3 stoodges, I always thought a revolution was 360 wether it applied to screws, screwdrivers, records, cd's or clocks. Maybe I am not getting it, or perhaps we are talking non Euclidean here... these type of puzzles intrigue me, please elaborate.

One twist or rotation of the fingers or one time turning a screwdriver with your hand set on the screwdriver equals 180 degrees. Try it...stick out your arm and turn it over as far as you can... you can only turn your arm 180 degrees. To turn a screw 360 degrees actually takes two twists or two rotations or so called two turns of your hand. So is 1 turn of the screw actually 2 turns of the hand holding a screwdriver. You guys all know you count by halves. One half, two halves= One turn
