When I push down on the brake pedal it doesn't return all the way. It is sort of notchy when I pull it back manually. I bled all the lines yesterday and got the air out of them b/c I thought that was the reason the brakes were hanging, but it is the pedal for sure. I can push it in and then have to wedge my foot behind it to push it back up into normal position.

WD40 is designed to remove water from electrical connections and the lubrication properties it has are short lived.

May want to lubricate with something with a little more staying power or you will be back in there soon.

Yep

Try PB Blaster instead, good stuff.

The label on the can is pretty busy looking, white spray can with yellow and red lettering.

I have never used PB blaster as a lubricant, it is a penetrant to loosen stuck bolts, but I do not see why it would not work as a lubricant.,

You may want to consider a white lithicum grease also.

You need to have both of these items on your shelf.

Super Lubricant, or, Kano Aerokroil, which loosens corroded metal parts (due to salt, heat, or weathering). It disolves dried grease and oil, removes rust and carbon deposits-w/out attaching the metal- and provides lubrication. After using the Kroil, the parts will resist wetting, thus preventing rust. bottle is leaking, it'll drip on the brake pedal linkage and will cause it to stick eventually. Make sure the bottle isn't leaking, and lubricate the linkage in the engine room too...
