Battery to Trunk Questions...

So I finally started to put my battery in the trunk today usin the TEP kit. Problem is, im not sure how to ground the wires or make a suitable connection for the postive and negative outputs. Currently, I have the negative grounded to the the trunk mechanism in the back(Which is not going to be permanent obiviously) but it the fron I don't know where to ground those left over wires that were one part of the negative circuit. I have the tep fron strut brace and was wondering if I could ground it to that. Also, does anyone have the size of the bolt that holds that negative grounding cable to the block(The bolt goes right into the block on my 76). If anyone has some pictures of their setup, Id love to seem them. I'd like to make it as clean as possible.

ground it to anything metal and its a 17mm . you will get a better current if you grind off some paint where you ground the wire.

I tried grounding it to the body itself, but it wont work. It only worked when i held it to that metal backing for my ITG air filter.

Also, is it true that I can attach the postive cable and wires directly to the starter?

I ran the ground starp from the block to the lower subframe. Look down where your front left location battery was and you will see the thru bolts for the bumpers. You can use some of the #4 cable TEP sends with the kit and crimp some ring terminals on both ends. Give it some slack as the motor likes to climb. In the back I have seen them grounded to the shock tower. I drilled the trunk floor and thru bolted it. Use dielectric grease on the connections.

is the bolt hole/boss for the rear seatbelt. Easy to access when the seat's out, big and solid for a good ground, and only a short cable run into the passenger compartment.

I don't know what cables came with your kit, but BIG and Flexible is best for the main cables. Try 2 guage welding cable. finding the right teminals can be hard, though.
