Here's the scoop: first thing in the morning, car fires right up. However, after I drive for a bit and get it nice and warm, then let it sit for say 1 hour. I'll get back in and it will just crank and crank. Sometimes it takes a good 3 minutes, sometimes it just won't happen at all and I am stranded for a bit.

Carb has been rebuilt, new electric choke, new fuel pump, new idle solenoid, new fuel line. Crane ignition... umm, can't think of what else would be relevant. Oh yeah, it's a weber 32/36.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a choke adjustment problem. Does it start right up if you hold the pedal to the floor when its warm already?

Float level or needle seat could be causing trouble as well.

The Crane is probably not the trouble but Pertronix is the "shite"
