okay, I've got a tobacco (or saddle) brown interior and I like it. my seats are hammered. I have the dough to spend on them but I don't think I really want Recaros (this IS a sahara 1602 and part of it's appeal is it's UNAPPEAL.) I'd even like to have mine recovered.

would the smart thing be to:

but a loaner set while I ship mine off to Al for re-stuffing and re-covering? Or better yet, but a shit set and send those of and drive mine till they return?

wouldn't recovering the barber shop seats I already have approach the cost of Recaros?

advice? or a source in the southeast? I've talked to Al about Recaros but I'm not sure they'd even look right.

TIA,

Brent

Early 2002. I guess they're the same as 1600? You could install them as temps or send them out to be recovered. The price is relly good too...Free...come haul 'em off

Perhaps Al has some "donor" seats and you wouldn't have to ship yours. I think the Recaros are a good fit...and more comfortable too. I got mine from Al and they look good!

Please tell this cracker a little more about those Flo-fits. I'm not a real big guy but Recaros are too narrow for my ass and Scheels are unobtanium. TIA

they've been...ummm...weathered. Seriously, none are good for long term but come scope 'em out and get whichever ones you want. Keep 'em, bring 'em back, whatever! Theyre out behind the shop. Feel free to look in the parts cars too. You better get here early before the monsoon starts!

I'm shopping for E21 Recaros as well... My current seats (OMP) don't fold forward to allow access to the rear. I'm slowly changing my interior to black as my door panels are a little ratty and the rear seat needs recovering as well.

I've got a price on the seats from Aardvark. They would be recoverd to my specs. Black cloth in the center and German vinyl on the bolsters and back. Anyone have a set from these guys? You happy with them?

Also, who is "Al"? I assume he sells seats. Anyone have his contact info. TIA...

I can help you out with upholstery, I am more into the E30 crowd so I do not have any e21 Recaro's. I do have a line on Flofits that I can reupholster to your specs. Here is some of my work, this is a side business for me but I can usually turn a set of seats in a week. Here is some of my work the tan ones I did off and on in 5 days. If I did this full time I could do the interior in 2 days. Let me know if I can help any of you guys out.

Regards,

Kevin
