I am right in the middle of installing my new ireland stage 2 springs and bilstein sport struts and I can not get the securing nut off of the strut assembly. Are there any tricks? It has probably been on there for 30 years and liquid wrench does not seem to help.

Thanks,

Dave

....TRY SOME SOME HEAT FROM A MAP GAS TORCH

AND huge CHANNEL-LOCK PLYERS.

.....and as I suggested on a thread below this - if the top

collar threads have erroded from rust - REPLACE THE STRUT

TUBE! the nut coming loose because of deteriated threads

is not a good thang. Inspect the threaded holes for the 3-special bottom ball joint safety-wired screws as well.
