2002 non-tii coil over struts modified by Ireland....

320i vented rotors, volvo calipers. OK, I mounted the calipers with the nipple on top...that certainly helped with bleeding.

Now I am having a problem with the calipers scraping the inside of the rotor. Both sides are scraping equally. APparently I am missing a spacer or I have something wrong.

Is there supposed to be a spacer used here? It didn't seem safe to put washers in between the caliper and the strut brake bracket.

What should I do?

It's ok to put spacers, you need them. About 2 mm spacers will center the caliper with the disc.

centered the calipers over the rotor. They are a bit of a PITA to squeeze in there but they certainly don't weaken the clamping force from the bolts.
