Does anyone here know Steven Ostwald? Or are you on the board? There is a small article in Grassroots motorsports this month about his 2002tii. Sounds like the engine has had some serious ish done to it, its NA and produces 200hp, and 183lb ft torque!! Sounds like one sweet ride, and one sweet engine.

The only question I had after reading the article, is if they were concerned about air intake temperature so much, why were the inlet tubes routed over where the exhaust is, on the passenger side of the car? Seems like you could avoid that hotter side of the engine by intaking air from down low on the drivers side..

Those figures are quite impressive and give me something to shoot for!!

If it is a white 02 with red throttle bodies, then I actually rode in it at the Sears Point school two weekends ago. He is an instructor. He was having serious idle problems and the 3" exhaust was pretty frickin loud. It had some good power, but not too crazy. Major intake design going on there too. When he opened the hood I assumed it was force fed, but he said it was just for cold air.

Yeah, the article said he was an instructor, and from the pics it looked like a turbo set up. Plus the car was white too, so it must be him. If you seem him again, you should ask why the plumbed the air intake over to the side where the exhaust is..... I don't get it

He had intake hoses on both sides of the engine. I did ask why the one over the exhaust and he said just to get more cold air (maybe luke warm!). Thought it looked like overkill, but he was happy with it so that is all that matters.
