There has been discussion, which I didn't find, on using an identical VW Rabbit pump rather than the more expensive BMW part. I'm looking for the pump with which mounts into the washer bottle. I took mine to the local VW dealer and compared and it still came in wrong. What year and part number woudl be great. Thanks

I don't know what year, probably mid 80's-early 90's, but if you look around the junkyards, you'll see the style washer bottle that slides right into the "V" groove of the '02. The electrical connection was the same The only downside is the the VW bottle is blue, so purists need not apply.

Sometime back I got a couple of pumps from a junkyard Volvo (late 70s/early 80s). This model Volvo had twin pumps attached to its bottle. The pumps looked identical, but I never got around to fitting one, so I cannot confirm.

I just bought this same pump from these folks and it arrived FAST, is brand new, and powerful. Installed it last weekend and am very happy...can't beat $30.
